Most small business websites are built to look like everyone else's. That's the problem.
You've probably seen them: the template with the stock photo of a smiling person in a headset, three identical feature boxes, the word "solutions". Businesses with real standards end up looking like the cheapest competitor, then wondering why customers compare them on price.
I got tired of it. I've spent eighteen years on and off building sites for small businesses, and the ones that worked never won on cleverness. They won because they looked like the business actually was, and because the writing did a job instead of filling a space.

Not a form, not a template, not generated text. We talk about your customers and what they actually ask, and the words come from that.

I design for the phone first.
Your customer is standing somewhere, deciding. Desktop gets built second.

Fast, no plugin rot, and an editor you can use without breaking anything. Your site doesn't turn into a maintenance problem.

Two rounds of changes, at copy stage and design stage.

Where I am
South Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. Most of my work happens via email and WhatsApp, so distance isn't the barrier it once was. I've worked with clients across Scotland from the Borders to the North Coast.
What I do
What I don't do: Ecommerce, big multi-page corporate sites, or booking systems built from scratch. I take on some social media and copy work alongside a site, never instead of one. If you need a shop, that's not me.
What I keep doing after launch.
Some clients want to hand the site back to me. Updates, new photos, seasonal changes, small additions, for a monthly fee. Plenty of businesses want that, and none of them should have to think about it.
